For over 25 years, Lowcountry Legal Volunteers (LLV) has been a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing free legal services to low-income families in need. While we have a dedicated, small paid staff, our success is powered by an extraordinary team of volunteers, interns, and externs who make it all possible.
Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds: active local attorneys, retired attorneys from across the country, former paralegals and administrative professionals, individuals from other fields, and law students. What unites them all is a deep passion for ensuring equal access to justice and a profound empathy for those we serve.
The impact our volunteers make is truly life-changing. They empower individuals and families by helping them navigate the legal challenges that affect their lives. But our volunteers don’t just work hard—they know how to have fun, build community, and create lasting bonds.
