David received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and graduated cum laude from Greensboro College in May 2013. David moved to Beaufort in May 2017 after graduating from Charleston School of Law (CSOL).

He was awarded the William Bennett Regan Award for Outstanding Leadership and Commitment to Public Service and the Pro Bono Award for volunteering more than 560 hours while clerking at the Charleston County Public Defender’s Office.

David was elected to Beaufort County Council in 2022, sworn in in January 2023, and is serving a four-year term as the representative for District 2.

An Eagle Scout, David lives his life by the lessons he learned while in scouts. He is active in his community and donates his time to several service organizations as well as individuals that need help in the Lowcountry.

David truly enjoys helping and serving his community and makes a great addition to the Lowcountry Legal Volunteers team.
