Rev. Dr. Julia Arlene Dunbar serves as a Community Ambassador for Lowcountry Legal Volunteers, supporting outreach and engagement in Hampton County as part of the Lowcountry Medical-Legal Partnership.
A dedicated faith leader, educator, and community advocate, Rev. Dr. Dunbar brings over 20 years of experience in ministry and public service. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Liberty University and a Doctor of Evangelistic Ministry from the School of the Great Commission. In addition to her theological education, she is a certified Christian Counselor and Grief Counselor, and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel by the Nazarene Baptist Association.
Rev. Dr. Dunbar’s commitment to service extends well beyond the pulpit. She volunteers with the American Red Cross as a Shelter and Disaster Supervisor, offering emergency support with compassion and care during times of crisis. She also serves on the board of the Lowcountry Council of Governments, where she champions initiatives related to senior services, affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, and workforce development.
Her work with Lowcountry Legal Volunteers reflects her deep dedication to justice, equity, and empowering underserved communities throughout the Lowcountry.
