Justice Navigator Training

At Lowcountry Legal Volunteers, we believe that knowledge is power—especially when it comes to accessing justice. That’s why we’ve launched the South Carolina Justice Navigator Training Program designed to help equip community leaders, volunteers, and advocates with the tools they need to help guide individuals through the complexities of the legal system.

Sign Up For An Upcoming Training Session

Our Justice Navigator Training Program provides non-lawyers with a foundational understanding of key legal issues affecting South Carolinians. Participants will gain practical knowledge and resources to assist individuals in navigating legal challenges related to:

  • Access to Legal Resources – Connecting individuals with pro bono legal assistance and self-help tools.
  • Family Law & Pro Se Divorce – Understanding family court processes and self-representation.
  • Wills and Health Care Powers of Attorney – Educating individuals on the importance of creating a Will and what a Health Care Power of Attorney is.
  • Heirs’ Property – Protecting generational wealth through Wills and property rights.
  • Landlord-Tenant Rights – Understanding the rights and responsibilities in rental agreements.

This training is ideal for:

  • Community leaders, social workers, and nonprofit staff
  • Faith-based organizations and outreach coordinators
  • Educators and advocates for underserved populations
  • Volunteers looking to make a meaningful impact in their communities
