Ivette is originally from Miami, Florida and received a BA and MA in education from Florida State University. Prior to joining the team Ivette worked as a Spanish teacher and a special education teacher for 30 years and retired in 2024. She continues to volunteer in the school system by helping students and translating for families. She is eager to continue to help families and community members in a different capacity through Lowcountry Legal Volunteers. Ivette lives in Savannah with her husband Chris, her dog Walter, and a bunch of cats. She enjoys traveling and roller skating.
