At our core, Lowcountry Legal Volunteers is about providing access to justice regardless of one’s ability to pay. Lowcountry Legal Volunteers is here to provide free civil legal help for those living Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper counties. Our services include advice, self-help clinics and courtroom representation.

Abuse & Safety

We help victims of domestic violence and abuse with a range family including: restraining orders, child custody, and divorce/dissolution.

Family & Children

We help individuals with a wide variety of family law matters including: custody, child support, separation, divorce, and other needs.

Guardianships

We help individuals seeking guardianship some who has lost the capacity to make, or who its o young to make their own decisions.

Heirs' Property

We help individuals and families protect their property through the creation of Wills as well as help them address other heirs’ property issue they may have.

Housing

We help tenants in cases involving eviction, unsafe/unhealthy housing and other landlord/tenant issues.

Wills & Health Care Power of Attorneys

We help individuals create Wiils and Health Care Power of Attorneys to ensure their wishes are followed regarding their personal property and medical care.
