LOWCOUNTRY LEGAL VOLUNTEERS RECEIVES $135,000 GRANT
TO SUPPORT FREE LEGAL SERVICES FOR LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS IN THE LOWCOUNTRY

OKATIE, South Carolina (May 29, 2025) — Lowcountry Legal Volunteers (LLV) has received a $135,000 grant from the South Carolina Bar Foundation to support its free legal services program for residents of Beaufort, Jasper, and Hampton counties.

Anne Caywood, Executive Director of LLV, said the funding will help the organization continue to provide high-quality legal services to individuals and families who cannot afford an attorney. “These funds allow us to expand our impact across the Lowcountry,” Caywood said. “We can now maintain and grow critical programs, including family law assistance, eviction defense, and estate planning services. This support ensures we can serve over 2,000 individuals this year with life-changing legal aid.”
