As part of Lowcountry Legal Volunteers’ Pro Bono Protection Program, our Restraining Order Advocate Training prepares both attorneys and non-attorneys to support domestic violence survivors as they navigate the restraining order and protection order process in South Carolina. Whether you are a lawyer, advocate, volunteer, or community professional, this training provides practical tools to help survivors access safety with dignity.

Restraining orders can be a critical safety tool. But for survivors in crisis, the process can feel confusing and overwhelming. Advocates—both attorneys and non-attorneys—play a key role in helping survivors access protection, stability, and support.
